We are going through some pretty big changes... Brooks has gotten a job with
Ducks Unlimited. He is working as a biologist and loves it. He just started last week. His office is in Sacramento which is quite a hike from Chico. He is staying in Sacramento during the week, which isn't too great. We are hoping that a good chunk of his work is going to be in our neck of the woods so that he will only have to be in Sacramento part of the time. If not, we may have to move. Time will tell.
With Brooks' new job, we decided that I am going to take the year off and be a full-time mom. I've resigned from my teaching position which is a bit scary, but I am super excited to be home with the boys. I'm looking forward to playing with Wyatt, walking Shane to school, volunteering in Shane's class, and all the good things that go along with being at home with my kids. I have started a small business venture with
Discovery Toys. We are hoping that it will help offset the absence of my paycheck... and we'll have some cool toys for the kids, too!
Shane starts school next Wednesday. With Brooks at DU, me at home with Wyatt, and Shane in second grade, we will be into our newest adventure full swing! Stay tuned to see how things unfold!
