A Big Week Shane
Shane has had a pretty big week. Last Friday he fell against the couch and ended up with 4 stitches in the back of his head. He’s okay. The stitches should come out tomorrow.
We seem to always be in the midst of an adventure. We hope all of our friends and family enjoy seeing what we've been up to.

It's been a long time since we've posted anything. Things have been pretty ho-hum, so not a whole lot to report. It seems that on any given day since Christmas break started at least one of us has been sick. Shane has had several colds, an ear infection and most recently the flu. Brooks and I have had our share of the germs as well. But I'm happy to report that it seems we have shed the germs and are all much healthier.

Brooks and Shane have done a bit of duck hunting. And yes, one morning they got me to go, too. The hot chocolate and donuts made it pretty bearable.

And I guess I should fess up to the further red-neckification of myself. I have become a 4-H leader. Many of my students are 4-H members and we actually run 4-H activities through our program, so I have become a leader. My students are raising sheep and pigs. Two weekends ago Shane and Brooks accompanied me on a field trip with some of my students to a pig auction. I must admit that I am very clueless about all of this, but it's been kind of fun... 5 years ago, if someone had told me what I would be doing now, I would have told them they were nuts!
