Dodger Game

Shane and I took a little trip on Saturday to go meet up with Aunt TT and catch a Dodger Game. The action was fast and furious in the first inning, the Rockies scored twice but the Dodgers answered and scored ten runs with two outs in the bottom of the first. This included a grand slam by Matt Kemp. Things got slow after that, until the umpire got beaned in the chin by a 96 MPH fastball and was knocked out cold. He left in an ambulance.
Shane got to eat his first Dodger Dog...I may have had one or two also...
In the end, Shane was thoroughly wiped out..
Sunday morning, before jumping right back on a plane, we got to see Ryan play a game..he did great; hitting a tripple, a double and he knocked in the final run to win the game. He also threw a runner out at second...

Wood Duck Parents

Well Shane and I have been working hard getting the wood duck boxes ready for the birds and it is paying off. This sunday we checked all the boxes and there were three with hens sitting on eggs. Several more looked like hens had been in there and getting ready to lay eggs. I imagine next time we go we will have several more tenants and hopefully some baby ducks.

Back to Life

Well, I survived my first week back at work and yesterday I took the Comprehensive Exam to finish my master's. I think I have spent every night for the last two months sitting at the computer studying. It feels good to have that over and done with. Now I just have to wait to hear if I passed! I think Brooks and the boys are glad that I've returned to normal life.

I think Nana and Wyatt had fun together this week. I definitely think the week back to work was worse for me than Wyatt. He just loves Nana and is being really good for her.

Shane is having fun with baseball and his wood duck project. They are checking the boxes today, so I'm sure a report will follow soon. Hopefully they find some nests today.

Shane & Wyatt took a bath together.

Happy Birthday, Brooks!

Thursday was Brooks' birthday. We had cake with Grandma, Grandpa, and Nana.

Shane's baseball team is doing really well and Shane is having a great time.

Wyatt loves going to the games and watching everyone.
Nana and Wyatt are having fun together. Tuesday is back to work for me.

This and That

Brooks and Shane took Grandpa's boat out on the lake for the first time this year.

Pretty good catch, huh?

Shane's first official game was Tuesday.

He got to play catcher.

The professional baseball season has begun and the Dodgers are now ruling our TV viewing again. Wyatt is all ready for it.

Nana is back in Chico for a few months. That's great news for all of us. The bad news is that means I have to go back to work soon. My first day back will be April 15th. But I'll only have 38 days of work until summer vacation... but who's counting?!?
