Philadelphia Part 2

I think I ran out of room on the last post, so here is the rest of our vacation.

We found a cool playground with Nana. Too bad the weather wasn't very cool. We definitely are not used to the East Coast humidity anymore!

Before we headed back to California, we took another trip to the beach with Nana. We went to Ocean City, NJ for the day. Of course there was more boogie boarding, playing in the sand and rides on the boardwalk!

What a great trip! We had a blast in Philadelphia!

Philadelphia

Well, Shane and I have returned from our trip to Philadelphia. We had a great time! Shane got a chance to stay with G.G. and see his cousins, Caiti, Cassidy and Christopher, and Aunt Beth and Uncle Chris. He had a great time at the Discovery Museum and swimming in the pool. I went to Wellsboro, PA with my mom to visit my friend Heather and her beautiful new baby, Rosalie Diane.

While we were in Wellsboro, we got to see the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. It was beautiful. It made me miss all the green in Pennsylvania.

During the second part of our trip, Shane and I went to the beach in Wildwood, NJ with Lori and and her baby, Sean. We had a blast, but Shane did not like having someone to compete with to be the star of the show.

G.G. got a boogie board for Shane and he learned to boogie board in the ocean. That was really cool!

Another weekend at the cabin

We needed to get one last weekend in at the cabin before Shane and I head off to Philadelphia. Shane played on the surfboard with Amy and actually rode the waverunner! He's still a little nervous about swimming in the lake. We all had a good time. Now we are excitedly packing our bags!

4th of July

We went to see the sprint cars race on the 4th of July at the Silver Dollar Raceway in Chico. It was a new experience for me and Shane. I think Shane had a good time. It was pretty exciting. And of course, the races were followed by fireworks, so that was really cool!

4th of July weekend

We were so lucky we got to spend 4 days at the cabin this 4th of July weekend! Brooks and Shane caught a few brown trout one morning, I went kayaking with Suzy, and we chased butterflies in the meadow. We saw some fireworks and went to a party at Dorna and Debra's.

Roosevelt was taunted by the geese.

The kids found a cool snake.

Suzy and I looked for flowers and bugs to photograph while the guys fished at Butte Creek house.
